Saturday’s bazaar on the 1st of March was a success again. People were
gathering to get in but doors were opened at exactly 10 o'clock!
It was thankfully really nice weather so we were able to put out and
show all the goods that we had. A lot was sold again as many visitors
came to our bazaar to find a bargain!
We have raised over €900,- and that only three weeks after our last
bazaar when we raised over €800,- !!
Our next bazaar will be held the 29th of March and this will be the last
one for this winter...
The charity shop at the Ag.Dimitrious square in Malia Old Town will be
open during the summer on Wednesdays & Saturdays 18.00-21.00. We will be
selling books, clothes etc. And of course on sale will be our calendar
for 2009!! So come find us!
In case you have any goodies to give to us for our fundraise events, we
will gratefully accept them the whole year around!!

It didn't
look very good for our bazaar today.... Dark sky and water regularly
poring down!
We decided anyway to go through with it, standing the cold & rain and
hope that our visitors would do the same... Thankfully they did!!!
We were able to raise E800,- by selling a lot of books, clothes,
household good, kids clothes & toys, shoes, new goodies, brass and home
made marmalade! So for the next bazaar (planned Saturday 1st March!) we
hope people will generously donate new goodies again so we can continue
our bazaars to raise money for the needy animals of Crete ! In case you
know anybody (living on Crete ) wanting to get ride of goods please
remind them that we can use anything for our bazaars!!!
Pictures show that Gringo's Mexican Restaurant (where we are always
allowed to hold our winter bazaars) packed with people looking for
bargains! Gayner was busy trying to get signatures for the W.S.P.A.
"Animals Matter to me" petition (see link on website) and you might
recognise 3 of your HavenHyves friends.... Cobie, Nikki&Wieke were
helping on the bric-a-brac stall! |
